My little girl Avah turned 8 today and it was a day/evening of celebrating. Her birthdays are always so bittersweet for me because I enjoy her so much more the older she gets and yet I just want to freeze her at age 8 and keep her here forever, so young and sweet. She told me tonight that it was her best birthday yet and thanked me for all her presents and told me I'm the best mommy ever and that she loves me - like how much better does it get as a Mom??
Today was a good food day too - I had pilates this morning and I was with another advanced lady so we had a great workout. Breakfast was a small bowl of my Kashi cereal. Lunch today was my chopped salad with the last of my bbqd chicken. Guess I have to go back to the pre cooked chickens until I can convince hubby to bbq me some more. There are some things that as a female I totally refuse to do - take out the garbage, cut the grass and bbq...haha..
Snack today was a few crackers and some egg whites. I had lots of water today too.
We took the family to The London Club for dinner. I had 1 Cosmopolitan for my cocktail and then just water. I had a couple bites of caesar salad that my kids shared and my entree was their homemade pasta with a lemon butter sauce (yikes), shrimps, scallops and roasted red peppers. I immediately took away more than half of the pasta and ate the shrimp, scallops, peppers and a bit of pasta. No dessert for me - I watched everyone else enjoy their creme brûlée and the kids had ice cream.
So you see, I'm starting to eat some more normal food but I'm super careful about it - just tastes here and there and if I see my weight start to change at all, then right back onto pure clean foods 24/7. I'd love to get to the point where I can eat clean and healthy 90% of the time and 10% of the time I can have cheats and when I say cheats I mean pasta, rice, some fruit....I'm certainly not saying I will be eating pizza, chips, chocolate, etc...
I will get weighed tomorrow and it will be interesting to see where I'm at since its a PMS week. I don't feel stuffed or gross from supper so I know that I walked out about 70% full...,yah Sarah!!
