Monday and some changes

I had to arrive at step class late today since its March break and my kids are in cooking class so I only got about 25 minutes of step - better than nothing.  I did a weigh in today and I'm at my lowest weight - 132.6lbs - very slow weight loss now but its still happening.  Rita also did my measurements and I'm thrilled.  Here they are -
This was Jan 28
Right arm - 10.5
Chest - 36
Waist - 32.75
Hips - 38.5
Right Thigh - 20
Calf - 15

As of today March 11
Right arm - 9.75 - awesome drop
Chest - 35.75
waist - 30.75 - thats a great drop
Hips - 37.5 - another great drop
Right Thigh - 19.5 - yah
Calf - 14 - thats huge too.

And remember my measurements from when we started way back where were even bigger.  So I'm on the right track.

I have changed up my working out schedule now too to get more weight training in.  Mon and Sat - step class - thats my only cardio, Tues, Wed and Fri - weight training and Thurs pilates.

Rita says I have plateaued now because my body is so used to all the good stuff I've been eating so now we need to shock it and ramp up the metabolism - I'm going to listen to her because EVERYTHING she has told me has worked.  So I'm adding 15 nuts to my afternoon snack (I'm excited) - greek yogurt and berry shake 3 times/week.  Still just quinoa for my starch - I could have sweet potato too but I don't care for them.  She really wants me to stay away from oats, rice, etc....I did buy a new Kashi puffed cereal today that is very low sugar content just to change up my breakfasts some days.
Then what she wants me to do is every 7-10 days - so I'm going to start this Saturday night a cheat dinner and a major cheat - like wine, pasta with sauce, salad, small dessert, piece of bread.  This will get my metabolism moving.  Then on Sunday right back to tons of water, veggies and protein.  She says I will feel bloated and I will have cravings to fight but it will be worth it. I will start to lose more weight this way and on top of that having a cheat meal is good for me mentally, good for my marriage - Tom and I can have dinner together at a nice restaurant and I can just eat and not think.  All of this means I have to be good and clean through the week - no cheats.
So today I had 3 hard boiled egg whites for breakfast, lunch is going to be now and its my usual chopped salad but with olive oil and today I'm switching up to balsamic vinegar instead of red wine vinegar with chicken.  Normally Id have quinoa in it too but I'm soaking some right now so it won't be ready until tonight.  Snack today will be the rest of my chopped salad from lunch because I made a big one and maybe some nuts.  Supper tonight for me is grilled shrimp on the lettuce wraps with roasted peppers and asparagus and quinoa since I didn't get it for lunch.  I'm actually finding with the time change that I'm not very hungry - its almost 100pm and I haven't eaten since 930am - not good for me...so I need to get back on track and eat more.

I'm excited to start this new phase and hopefully crack that 130lbs mark.
