A Beautiful Sunday

Last night turned out to be great food wise for me.  We had a glass of wine here before we left - I stuck to one glass.  Then at La Casa I ordered 1 Cosmo and then stuck to water after that.  I had the calamari to start with which is not breaded and done in lemon and olive oil - quite tasty.  For my main course I had the 6 oz beef tenderloin, asparagus and it came with roasted mash which I ate maybe a quarter of.  Then the three of us shared chocolate mouse - which was a few bites each.  So all in all a successful meal and tons of fun.
Of course my kids were waiting up when we got home last night at 1045p which was really 1145p with the new time so it was after midnight before we were all in bed.  None of us got out of bed until close to 1100am this morning - it was actually so nice and peaceful.  So of course since it was 1100am before I got downstairs I decided I may as just wait and have lunch.  So no food today until 100pm and then I had my chopped salad with chicken and a 100 calorie snack pack of cheesies.
The kids and I are heading out for a power walk/bike ride shortly - we are trying to enjoy as much of this weather as we can.  I will make us greek yogurt and berry and flaxseed shakes later this afternoon and then supper tonight is bbq chicken (hopefully Tom is home in time for dinner), roasted asparagus and broccoli and homemade mac and cheese for Tom and the kids.  So definitely not enough eating today....I took Avah to Michael's this morning and 60.00 later she was all stocked up on new craft stuff so she will be dying to craft away after our walk today.  I'm hoping for some time to sit in the front living room in my favourite red chair in the sunshine and read my kindle.
A nice peaceful Sunday - I can smell Spring in the air.
I'm back to training with Rita tomorrow - so excited.  We are going to sit for 15 minutes and talk food - I have tons of questions for her now about how to maintain my weight and if I can now start to add some things into my eating - things like nuts, 12 grain bread, whole grain rice, berries and other fruits, and how often I can eat those things.  I think if I could add a few more things now and basically follow Tosca's Eat Clean Stripped program I think I could eat like this for the rest of my life with just a weekly cheat here and there.  So I'm very excited to sit down with her and make a real forever eating program.
Stay tuned.
